Property Underwriter | Hamilton, Bermuda Our Bermuda-based client provides professional lines, commercial property, and excess casualty insurance for Fortune 2000 and similar risks worldwide. They are a purposefully lean and autonomous organization with experienced professionals who take pride in their commitment to teamwork, and invites applications for the position of: Property Underwriter The successful candidate will provide assistance to the Underwriting Manager and Underwriting Officers in the development of the firms property insurance business for large multinational corporations and they will underwrite, maintain, and grow a book of business in the Property specialty. Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and maintain client/broker relationships Evaluate and prioritize submissions Analyze exposures, coverages, and contract language Structure, price and negotiate the property insurance product Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and brokers Perform other duties as directed by the Underwriting Manager Property Required Skills/Experience: Bachelors degree with advanced degree preferred. Preference will be given to those candidates with business degrees or engineering degrees and to those with professional designations, particularly CPCU Must have strong working knowledge of RMS ust have well developed business and social skills and capabilities for strengthening client/broker relationships Prior experience and success in producing business would be helpful Minimum of three years of property underwriting experience of large multi-national corporation accounts Highly developed communications skills - business writing and oral presentation skills must be excellent Technology capabilities in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are essential, as is the ability to use and manipulate data If you are interested in submitting your resume for this exciting opportunity, please send an up-to-date resume to BJI@BermudaJOBS.com for our review.
